Today we’re really excited to launch the first ULTRAMARINES movie competition!

By creating an original design for a Space Marine standard, you can be in with a chance of winning one of five original ULTRAMARINES movie storyboards, inked and signed by the artist.

To take part, all you have to do is download the official design template at www.ultramarinesthemovie.com/competition , paint it up (either with artists’ materials on a printed copy or digitally), then re-upload and submit your design to the competition page.

Entry is open to everyone over 13 and no purchase is necessary but you must register on the website to enter. Check the rules and the terms and conditions for further guidelines.

The judging panel includes Dan Abnett and representatives from Games Workshop Licensing Department and Codex. The best entries will appear in a special gallery on the site.

Well, it turns out I'm having alot of trouble uploading my submissions on the official site, with no where to turn.  I've posted the admins about the problem, have yet to see a reply.  Anyone else having trouble like this?

Since my hard drive seized the other day, I haven't been able to work on my banner.
I’m sitting here now, on my work laptop, debating on if I should open the drive outside of a clean room.
I really need the data on it off.

Not sure what you can do there.  Can't you hook your work laptop to your pc via usb and get the data?

No, it's a head crash so the heads can't find their position on the disk/s so they just keep sweeping back and forth smacking on the drive case. If you've ever heard a hard drive clicking, that's what that sound is.

I can attempt to swap the heads, but opening the drive outside of a clean room is comparable to Mr. Spock realigning the dilithium crystals with nothing but a pair of gloves on.

Plus I will ruin a second drive, but I don't think I have a choice. It's either attempt it, or pay $3K to have it professionally recovered.

BTW your LotD banner looks pretty cool!

Damn dude, that's sucko * 3k!  Thing is, if you attempt it yourself, can you still get a professional to do it after?

I like this banner, but I think it lacks a few things, like trophies, garnishes, scrolls, etc.  I'm working on a Black Templars banner now, with lots of garnishes and scrolls, so I think I'll go back to this one later.  Besides, I still can't upload one banner until the problem with their submission page is resolved.
